Welcome to the website of Aucott & Thomas, an online bookstore which is run by Roger Thomas and Jacquie Aucott.
On this site we list around 10,000 secondhand books from most categories.
Please search or browse our inventory of hard to find, out of print, used, and rare books.
We are happy to provide further description of any of our books by e-mail (the address is at the bottom of this page, please click the 'contact us' tab) or over the telephone - you can ring us on 01530 260580. There is usually someone here between 10 am and 5.30 pm (GMT) on weekdays but if no-one answers please leave a message on our answering machine and we'll call you back as soon as we can.
As well as selling books on the internet from
our office & warehouse in Ibstock, we also have a real bookshop in Whitemoors Antiques Centre in Shenton (CV13 6BZ), on the tourist trail in rural
south west Leicestershire, near to Bosworth battlefield,
the Ashby canal (Sutton Wharf marina is 2 miles away), Bosworth Water Park , the Battlefield Line steam railway and Station Pottery at Shenton station
If you live in Leicestershire or South Derbyshire and have books you wish to dispose of please get in touch. We can't promise to buy but we are happy to offer advice.
We will be exhibiting (and hopefully selling!) some of our stock at the BB Society Book Fair on Saturday the 13th May at Brixworth Village Hall, Holcot Road, Brixworth, NN6 9BS from 10.00 am to 4 pm. Admission to the fair is free and there will be a wide range of interests/authors, antiquarian books, local history, including countryside pursuits, birds, flora/ fauna, prints, maps, art books and especially books by local author 'BB'. In addition home made cakes, bacon butties and drinks, all at modest prices will be available.
